Focus on Education: Sample Class Schedule for Education Majors

Male Student Teaching MathAll education majors can expect to encounter a certain set of courses as they proceed through their college studies. While the general structure of an education schedule is somewhat constant, there are unique differences depending on the student’s employment goals.

The following are two different education major sample schedules:
– An elementary education major at a private, liberal arts college.
– A secondary education major at a public, big ten university, with a specialty in biology.

Notice how both schedules are back-loaded with education courses, with the first few semesters dedicated to general education and background courses.
